Body Mass Index

What is Body Mass Index?

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measurement that takes into account your height and weight to determine if your are overweight or obese. It is the measurement of choice for physicians and researchers studying obesity. However, there are many experts out there who feel that this not the best method to determine if you are overweight because it only takes into consideration your height and weight and not your body build or muscular structure.
