Anne Frank Traveling Exhibit

This past Saturday, we had our first community Night for the Anne Frank traveling exhibit. Our Sauquoit student docents did an amazing job of sharing Anne Frank's story, along with the valuable lessons that her story teaches us for today.

Our next event for the exhibit is this Wednesday.  There will be an ice cream social from 5:00-6:00 in the middle school, and tours will be given of the exhibit in the high school from 6:00-8:00.  We invite the entire community to attend to hear and help Anne's story continue to be heard, to support our amazing student docents, and help us spread the message that when we ignore our differences, our community grows stronger.

The kids raised over $3800 at the event, and their grand total so far is $6373.00!  These kids fundraised, honored those who have or are facing cancer, and showed that kids can truly make a difference in the world!  We're so proud of them!

Science Experiments

7th graders investigating specific heat capacity in lab. They melted chocolate in two different materials - sand and water! The chocolate in the sand melts faster because sand has a lower specific heat capacity than water, so it needs less energy to heat up.
