Ms. Morat
Welcome, Middle School and Elementary students!
I am thrilled to be joining Sauquoit Valley Central School District as your new elementary and middle school counselor. I have a passion for supporting students socially, emotionally, and academically as they grow through these important years. This year I will be providing individual and group counseling along with classroom lessons focusing on social emotional learning.
I am an alumni of Whitesboro High School. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Cazenovia College and my master’s degree in school counseling from Niagara University. In addition to this, I also hold a degree in clinical mental health counseling from Medaille University. For the past 8 years, I have worked as an elementary school counselor for the Rome City School District. I have over 15 years of experience in both school and community settings. My approach centers on creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging space where every student feels heard and supported.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, reading and spending time with my family. I’m excited to get to know our students, families and staff as we work together to help every student thrive!
